"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style"

I hold space where you can comfortably express your emotions with guidance and find coping mechanisms that support you going forward. My trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, holistic approach considers how your mind, body, and soul are being affected in your life by your mental health challenges and life situations. I approach topics with a relaxed demeanour utilizing DBT and CBT. Whether you have had therapy, or you’re new, we can jump into the conversation anywhere.
My Mission For You

I want to build a foundation with you where you can openly express yourself because maybe you haven't been able to.
I hold space with a non-judgemental, trauma-informed approach. At your pace, we can discuss: anxiety, stress, burn out, depression, trauma, high-functioning anxiety, self-sabotage, imposter syndrome, disorderly eating, relationship issues, communication difficulties, and life transitions.
Kudos to you for reaching out for mental health support. It can take a while to get to this point. If you’re ready to chat, view my Jane App calendar or connect with me.
As a Registered Social Worker, most insurance companies and local employers accept RSW credentials. If you have questions about my services, please reach out.
Mental Health Concerns
Areas of mental health I can support you with.
Anxiety
Anxiety is an emotion described as feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physiological and physical changes like stomach issues and increased blood pressure, respectively.
Anxiety and fear are not the same. Anxiety has people worried about the future, with a long-acting response focused on a diffuse threat. Fear is a definite threat that is short-lived and present-oriented.
Trauma
Trauma is an emotional response to a negative experience. These experiences can be "big" or "small". We have very minimal control, if any, to our initial response to this trauma. It is common to experience denial and shock after the event and longer-term effects can be unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships, and physiological symptoms like headaches or nausea.

Stress
Stress is a normal response to everyday pressures. It becomes a problem if it interrupts your daily functioning. Ongoing stress like these changes almost every system of your body, including feelings and behaviour. This directly impacts psychological and physiological disorders and disease, reducing quality of life.
